Water based Release Agent | HP-HGR80
HP-HGR80 is a release agent for thermosetting plastics (PU, IMC varnish, EP, UP, VE). Very low consumption, short drying time, high effectivity.
Features and Benefits
- Suitable for PU casting resins, IMC lacquer, solvent-free epoxy resins, unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins
- Fast drying time (per layer 10-15 minutes at 20°C)
- Semipermanent, external release agent with good demoulding features
- Colourless, solvent-free
- Application with spray gun (ready for spraying), lint-free cloth or soft brush possible
- Can be polished after short dry time
- Multiple demoulding processes are possible
- Minimises remains on the moulds’ surface – and at the same time no transmission to the component
- Based on alkylalkoxysilane / wax emulsion
Processing guidelines
Shake the release agent thoroughly before each use!
Clean and degrease the mold with suitable agents, e.g. acetone or thinner XB.
New moulds:
Apply HP-HGR80 in at least 2-3 layers.
Consider a waiting time of 10-15 minutes* between each working step.
If higher gloss is required, it is possible to polish the surface after a few minutes waiting time.
If the last coat is finished, it´s recommended to wait approx. 60 min* before laminating.
Especially after each of the first demoulding processes, it is recommended to apply a new layer of the release agent.
Used moulds:
Clean the moulds’ surface and remove every other release agent carefully.
After that, apply HP-HGR80 as per description.
* All information shall apply at 20°C! Higher temperatures will shorten the drying time. At mould temperatures of >60°C you have to pay attention to the correct usage of the surface!
Remains of the release agent HP-HGR80 can be removed with water (with addition of detergents).
